It will not make its full return in 2022. The World Economic Forum (WEF), which annually brings together world economic and political leaders in the posh resort of Davos in Switzerland, has canceled the public component of the meeting, has we learned on Friday.
It had to be canceled this year due to the Covid but must be held in January 2022.

After the Covid, a new threat hangs over the WEF, Swiss media have revealed. Since the pandemic, several of his collaborators have received an increasing number of threats, sometimes even death threats from conspiracy theorists, said the Swiss news agency ATS, which was able to contact the WEF. The latter therefore decided to cancel the Open Forum, which is open to the general public and whose security is more difficult to ensure than the rest of the event. In addition, the security arrangements for other events, already very impressive, will be reinforced.
The Open Forum has been organized since 2003 on the sidelines of the main WEF meeting in Davos in a school, and brings together NGOs, representatives of civil society, artists but also business leaders and government representatives.
