Today, the US police announced that there were deaths and injuries due to a shooting in
Rochester, New York.
American media quoted the Rochester police chief as saying in a tweet on Twitter that "a mass shooting incident occurred near the Rochester public market, and there are victims," without giving further details.
According to media reports, police cars rushed to the scene at the intersection of Goodman Street and the Pennsylvania neighborhood, while it was not clear how many people were killed or injured.
Three people were injured yesterday in separate shooting incidents in New York State.
Shootings are commonplace in the United States, with the spread of a culture of violence in American society and the right to individual weapons defended by President Donald Trump.
