French Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele continued the policy of procrastination with the Catalan club regarding the renewal of his contract.
Dembele's contract with Barca expires in the summer of 2022 and the player is of interest to many big clubs in Europe.
And Barcelona president Joan Laporta said yesterday that there are negotiations with Dembele for the renewal, indicating that the player wants to stay.
However, the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” confirms that Dembele refuses to sit at the negotiating table with Barcelona, noting that the last contact between Barcelona managers and Dembele’s representative, Moussa Sissoko, dates back to last Wednesday.
The newspaper pointed out that the call did not carry any positive sign, as Sissoko refused to negotiate with Barcelona and informed the club to postpone any talks until the player returned from injury.
Dembele has attracted the interest of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea and has an offer from Juventus for more than a year to sign him for free in 2022 in exchange for a good transfer fee.
