A cassette with an unreleased song by Beatles singer John Lennon is due to be auctioned in Denmark at the end of September.

On the recording from 1970, which took place after a press conference, the song »Radio Peace«, which was never released, can be heard, as the auction house Bruun Rasmussen announced.

The 33-minute cassette is due to go under the hammer in Copenhagen on September 28th.

Their value is estimated at 27,000 to 40,000 euros.

According to the auction house, the photo was taken by four men who attended the press conference in Denmark when they were school children.

Lennon stayed on Denmark's west coast for a few weeks in the winter of 1969/70.

The reason for this was that Lennon's wife Yoko Ono wanted to be closer to her daughter, who lived with her father in North Jutland.

The recording was "absolutely unique" because it was created during a conversation, said Alexa Bruun Rasmussen, the boss of the auction house.

At that time, after a press conference he had called, Lennon played a few songs to a few journalists and those four students.

“One of them, Radio Peace, was never published,” Bruun Rasmussen told the AFP news agency.

Whoever buys the cassette will receive photos of the meeting as well as the issue of the school newspaper in which the four young people reported on their experience with Lennon.

"You need a good old-fashioned cassette player to listen to the recording, and I think that nostalgia increases the value of the cassette," said the auctioneer.

The Beatles split up in 1970 after the peak of their careers in the mid-1960s.

Then the four musicians pursued their own music projects.

Among other things, Lennon published the world hit "Imagine", which became an anti-war anthem.

In December 1980, the 40-year-old musician was shot dead by a Beatles fan on the street in Manhattan.
