Like the country, so is Liquid Ecstasy: Falke (Wotan Wilke Möhring) and Lorenz (Petra Schmidt-Schaller) ponder the new case in front of an advertising backdrop.
Photo: ARDIn the summer weeks, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the series, the ARD shows the winners of a "crime scene" voting from cases of the past 20 years.
The scenario:
North Sea is Murder Sea. The corpse of a woman is found in the dunes of Langeoog, next to her crouches a young man with a crazy look and a blood-smeared face. Both had apparently taken the drug Liquid Ecstasy, which is produced on a large scale on the island. Soon it will be swarming with officials standing on each other's feet in the sand. The falcon (Wotan Wilke Möhring), who actually works in Hamburg, is investigating in a team with three colleagues (Petra Schmidt-Schaller, Sebastian Schipper and Nina Kunzendorf).
The highlight:
Norwegian sweater instead of Ramones shirt: The big city punk Falke was put in the right wardrobe for the island crime thriller to make his move easier. The background: After Möhring had started as a falcon in Hamburg, the NDR decided to set up another commissioner in Hamburg: Schweiger as Tschiller. Since the city was not big enough for two TV sheriffs, Falke was parked on Langeoog until it was later used as a federal police officer.
Dunes full of investigators: scene with Laura Tonke, Sebastian Schipper (center) and Tristan Seith
Photo: ARDThe picture:
Falke ponders the fall in the rolling grass of the East Frisian dunes. And it looks like he's got lost in a Jever sport. You already know: no traffic jams, no hectic pace. Paradoxically, the increased number of investigators in this case creates a feeling of rush hour on the North Sea beach.
The dialogue:
Falke meets a local and tries to start a conversation with him, then the following exchange of blows:
Commissioner: "My name is Falke. From Hamburg."
Islanders: "Fuck off, falcon from Hamburg!
The song:
"Avalanche" by Leonard Cohen: The gloomy classic provides a brief moment of inner contemplation in this abstruse overloaded North Sea thriller.
The review:
3 out of 10 points. Like the country so that Liquid Ecstasy: the "crime scene" as an island thriller with a badly blown plot.
