Not just Facebook and LinkedIn: Information on 1.3 million Clubhouse users can be downloaded from the popular hackers forum for free and for anyone who requires it.
"The information was distributed a few days after the social network announced the Clubhouse Pay service that allows payments to content creators within the app and after Twitter was interested in purchasing the social network for $ 4 billion, so it is unclear whether this leak will affect these two," explains Ram Levy. The information disseminated includes username, name, photo link, Twitter nickname, Instagram nickname, number of followers, number of followers, number of people the user is following, date of account creation, name of the profile that invited the user to connect to the app.
Levy explains that with the information it is possible to "generate dedicated phishing attacks for example it is possible to send users fake messages on behalf of and ask them to verify details or give their password."
