The German national team is fighting for victory in the Nations League.
National coach Jogi Löw caused a big surprise for the squad nomination.
The
third international break of
the season is coming up.
The
German national team
meets the Czech Republic in the test match and
Ukraine and Spain
in the
Nations League
.
National coach
Jogi Löw
nominated
two newcomers
, both with a past with the
Munich Lions
.
Frankfurt - The
German national team has
been heavily criticized in recent weeks and months.
Good performances alternated with terrifying performances, the fans turned away.
DFB: National coach Löw has to deliver in the Nations League
TV expert and world champion
Bastian Schweinsteiger
went
tough
with national coach
Joachim Löw
, and a successor has even been debated in the media.
The return of the two world champions
Thomas Müller
from FC Bayern and
Mats Hummels
from Borussia Dortmund, who duel in the top game of the Bundesliga on Saturday, was called for loudly.
Jogi Löw has so far not been deterred by all the criticism and ridicule against himself and is
consistently continuing on the
path he has taken towards the
2021 European Championship
.
In the end, however, the results left much to be desired.
After an embarrassing 3: 3 in the test against Turkey there was at
least a 2: 1 against Ukraine
in the
Nations League
.
The next setback followed at 3: 3 against Switzerland.
DFB: Löw nominates two ex-Lions and renounces Götze and Reus
In the last international matches of the year, Löw now has to make positive headlines again so that the
mood
against him does not threaten to completely tip over.
After the test match against the
Czech Republic
, the DFB-Elf will host the
Ukraine
in the Nations League
, both games will take place in
Leipzig
.
Then there will probably be a showdown for first place in the group away against
Spain
.
After four games, Germany are one point behind Spain and need two wins in the two remaining games to pass.
“One thing is certain: we want to make people happy with our game.
We're playing to win - and I'm very confident of that, ”said Löw in an interview with the DFB.
The national coach has
nominated two newcomers:
Felix Uduokhai
from
FC Augsburg
and
Philipp Max
from
PSV Eindhoven
.
Max, who moved from Augsburg to the Netherlands in the summer, was
trained
at FC Bayern and
TSV 1860 Munich as a
youth
.
Uduokhai is also a native of the
lions
and even made his breakthrough as a professional in Giesing.
Somewhat surprisingly, the Löw favorites
Marco Reus
from Borussia Dortmund and ex-Dortmund
Mario Götze were
not taken into account.
The Dortmund captain Reus has been back in the rhythm of the game for weeks.
Götze, Max's team-mate at
Eindhoven
, immediately showed strong performances at his new club.

DFB: Bayern stars have a longer break - Sané is back
In addition, FC Bayern star
Niklas Süle
and Chelsea's striker
Kai Havertz
are missing

Leroy Sané, who missed the international matches in October due to a capsule injury, is on the other hand ready for action.
Most of the squad will meet on Monday afternoon in Leipzig.

and
Sané
as well as Gladbach's
Matthias Ginter, Toni Kroos
(Real Madrid) and
Timo Werner
(Chelsea FC) join the team.
As with the first international three-pack in October,
Löw
