Diego Contento once won the treble with FC Bayern.

Today he is keeping fit for a comeback in the district league.

We speak to him in a live interview.

Munich

- "It's difficult to find a club when you've been out for a year," Diego Contento explains his current situation.

The former FC Bayern Munich team is currently without a club.

Last summer his contract with second division club SV Sandhausen was not extended.

Contento, who is now 32, doesn't want to stop just yet.

"I want to attack again in the professional field," says the left foot.

In a live interview on Tuesday, May 17 at 2 p.m., the treble winner from 2013 tells us how things are going with the full-back or how he looks back on his time with the record champions.

FC Bayern: The future has not yet been clarified

Contento is currently keeping fit at FC Aschheim.

The distances to the district league are short.

His brothers Alessandro, Domenico and Vincenzo all play in the north of Munich.

“When Diego hits a diagonal ball, it comes like a dream,” enthuses Aschheim coach Thomas Seethaler.

Contento wants to hit his diagonal balls again in the professional field in the future.

It is still completely open where the native of Munich will go.

"It doesn't really matter whether it's in Germany or abroad.

It just has to fit,” Contento describes the requirement profile for his new club.

FC Bayern: Diego Contento knows the ups and downs of professional football

The three-time German champion has experienced almost everything in the professional business.

Contento knows the good and bad sides of football.

In 2012 he played 120 minutes in the Champions League final against Chelsea, won the treble in 2013, but also tore his cruciate ligament in 2018 and has been without an employer since last summer.

In a live interview with Contento, we look back on his time at FC Bayern, try to clarify his goals for the future and ask him how he sees his youth club today.
