It was 21 years since Diego Maradona's debut in first with Argentinos Juniors, in 1976, until the last game in his beloved Boca Juniors in 1997 and there were seven shirts he wore on the way that took him to
the top of the football world

was the team with which he took the first steps.
With that shirt he began to become known, when in the halves of the matches of the La Paternal team he dazzled doing little games and juggling the ball.
That was the shirt that Maradona wore in the days when, still years before playing as a professional, he dreamed out loud of "playing a World Cup and becoming champion" with the national team.
Then it was the turn of Argentinos, the team that allowed him to retrace his path to the top of the football world with historical performances that made him captain and benchmark of the team with less than 20 years.
Maradona played in Argentinos for almost five years, until Boca paid a millionaire figure to hire him in 1981. Another dream, to wear the shirt of his beloved Boca Juniors.
An intense year in which he formed a great duo with Miguel Brindisi and led the xeneize to a new championship.
Only afterwards did the first European experience arrive.
Barcelona was the one that broke the market to get its file.
The Catalan team had César Luis Menotti as coach.
After two seasons, Napoli bought his pass and the city adopted him as an idol.
A packed San Paolo stadium greeted him like a savior and Maradona responded.
The story is known.
He played for the southern Italian team until 1991 and during that time he won two scudettos, one Italian Cup, one Italian Super Cup and two UEFA Cups.
After a suspension it was the turn of Seville, which came from the hand of Carlos Bilardo and where he shared a team with Diego Simeone.
It was barely a year before he made his comeback to later become a Newell's player.
The leper club received him in 1993, but he only played five games there.
They were enough to be adored by his fans.
A grandstand in the stadium bears his name.
Maradona's last step as a professional was again with the Boca Juniors jersey.
The last performance was in 1997, in a Superclásico against River at the Monumental stadium.
He asked coach Héctor Veira to take him out at the end of the first half and decided to retire.
But the shirt that most represents Maradona is the blue and white of the selected one.
He used it for the first time when he was just 17 years old, in 1977, in the previous World Cup in 1978. He was not part of that tournament but with Menotti he led the U-20 team that a year later conquered the youth World Cup in Japan.
After a failed attempt in 1982, the maximum glory reached it in Mexico 1986, in the hot afternoon of the Azteca stadium.
Then he had other chances, also epic, such as the runner-up in Italy 1990 or when his legs were "cut off" in the United States 1994.
Maradona died this Wednesday at the age of 60.
His football transcended borders and jerseys.
