Cédric Jubillar, suspected of the murder of his wife Delphine, has maintained the same line of defense for ten months: he repeated on Friday that he had nothing to do with his disappearance, in front of the two examining magistrates who questioned him In Toulouse. “

He proclaims his innocence, his despair. He has no place in prison, nor in solitary confinement (...) he was questioned for four hours, he answered all the questions with serenity and sincerity

”, declared one of his lawyers, Alexandre Martin . "

The presumption of innocence is flouted, he is detained improperly, from Monday we will formulate a request for release. This man is innocent. There is no evidence, no evidence against him

», Added Me Martin, leaving the Toulouse courthouse, where the hearing took place.

Delphine Jubillar, 33, who worked as a night nurse in a clinic in Albi, and her husband Cédric, temporary plaster painter, lived in a villa still under construction in Cagnac-les-Mines, a village in Tarn.

On December 16, 2020 at dawn, her husband reported her disappearance to the gendarmes.

The two magistrates in charge of the case since the end of December 2020 had already questioned Cédric Jubillar in April, but as a civil party.

Me Martin regretted that the substance of the case, "

the facts for which he is accused

" will only be addressed during the next interrogation, on December 3.

"

The detention is becoming unbearable,

" he lamented, stressing that Cédric Jubillar has been alone in the cell for four months, without permission to visit.

The judges asked the main suspect in the case questions "

substantially similar to those asked at the stage of

police

custody

," added lawyer Jean-Baptiste Alary, who has been defending Cédric Jubillar for ten months.

"Serious and concordant clues"

What happened behind closed doors in the magistrates' office?

The defense did not give more information on the content of the interrogation, covered by the secrecy of the investigation.

Cédric Jubillar had arrived at the court around 8:35 am, almost an hour before his summons, in a prison administration van with tinted windows, coming from the Seysses remand center, near Toulouse.

He has been detained there since June 18, the date of his indictment for murder.

This was the first questioning of suspect No. 1 as an indicted person.

Since the start of the case, he has denied any involvement in the disappearance of his wife and mother of their two children, aged two and six.

For the defenders of Cédric Jubillar a "

judicial error

" looms.

For its part, justice puts forward "

serious and consistent clues

" which, put end to end, led the investigators of the research section of the gendarmerie to suspect him.

Investigators hoped to collect a confession for lack of irrefutable evidence implicating Cédric Jubillar, but his line of defense has never changed.

Ten months after the disappearance, searches continue in the surroundings of Cagnac-les-Mines to find the body, which could reveal clues.

Last week, cavers inspected brownfields dating from mining, to no avail.
