Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has reached the second round of the Wimbledon Championships in London, the third major tournament held on grass, as he seeks to defend his title, which he won last year.
The Serbian, who recently fell to third place, qualified at the expense of the 81st-ranked South Korean player, Sowon Woo-kwon, with a score of 3-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 27 minutes. In the next round, he will wait for the winner of the Australian Thanasai meeting Cocinax and the Polish Camille Mcherczak.
With this victory, Djokovic reached the 80th victory in the London Championship, becoming the only player to have 80 wins and more in the Grand Slam.
While he will seek to win the seventh title in the tournament, the fourth in a row, and the 21st title in the Grand Slam tournaments as a whole.
