Actually, Danny Schenk just wanted to pass the time with the shooter "The Cycle", to distract himself in a difficult professional phase. "Today I am one of the people I found so fascinating back then," says the 27-year-old. Danny Schenk is Junior Game Designer at the Berlin studio Yager. He was recruited from the community - because he loved to play "The Cycle" so much.

The paths into the games industry are very different. Some study, do internships and get their first permanent position, others start in film, computer science or a completely different area and end up with a game manufacturer more by chance than planning.

But there are also some basic things that anyone interested in joining a games studio should know in advance. In this article, several developers report from their everyday work. It is about common misunderstandings, but also about typical working hours.
