The Criminal Security Center in Qatana arrested a person who had stolen narcotic pills from a pharmaceutical factory in Damascus countryside, and two people who participated with him to promote them in exchange for material benefit.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of that after receiving information to the Criminal Security Center in Qatana about a person who had transferred a quantity of narcotics within the city of Qatana, and following up and monitoring, the necessary ambush was set up for him and he was arrested. He was given narcotic and sedative pills, and during his interrogation, he admitted that these pills are of the type of “tramadol anesthetic” used in the pharmaceutical industry, and that he stole them from a pharmaceutical factory in Damascus countryside with two people.
The ministry indicated that the necessary ambush was set up and the aforementioned persons were arrested in their possession of a quantity of narcotic pills of the aforementioned type, as the total confiscations of pills amounted to 25 kg and a half, and their number is estimated at about 128,359 narcotic pills.
The arrested admitted that they had stolen the narcotic pills from the pharmaceutical factory to promote them in exchange for material benefit.
The ministry indicated that the necessary seizures were organized and they were referred to the duly competent judiciary.
