In recent years, the Hong Kong government has promoted opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, and some middle school students are also interested in studying in the Mainland.

After the Diploma of Secondary Examination (DSE) 2021 is released, the Mainland Higher Education Program will soon be released.

The Education Bureau reminds that candidates who have previously signed up for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination Student Program for Mainland universities can log on to the website of the Guangdong Education Examination Institute to check the admission results from Thursday (29th).

In case the 3322 threshold is reached and the applicants are not admitted, they can apply for supplementary enrollment by 4 pm on August 4 at the latest.

In the 2021/22 academic year, a total of 127 mainland universities participated in the Hong Kong DSE student recruitment program, including Tsinghua University, a famous university in Beijing.

According to figures from the China Education and Study Abroad Exchange Center, a total of 14,707 people have applied for further studies in the Mainland this year. Among them, 4,783 candidates have passed the diploma exam, which is nearly 20% more than last year's 3,993.

The Education Bureau reminds that relevant students will log on to the admission inquiry system of the HKDSE Admission Plan on the website of the Guangdong Education Examination Institute to check the admission results from July 29.

The listing procedures for mainland universities are different from those in Hong Kong. The mainland will announce the results of the first round of admissions in batches according to the first to fourth choices.

If a candidate has reached the threshold of 3322 in the four compulsory subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics and Liberal Studies) of the DSE, but fails to be admitted in the first round, he can submit a supplementary record in the system from August 2 to 4 (you can apply for two Schools, each school has a maximum of 4 subjects), and the results of the supplementary enrollment will be announced on August 6th and August 7th.

As individual subjects may arrange interviews, students should pay attention to the notice of the institution or contact the institution for confirmation.

Regardless of whether it is the first round or the students who have been re-enrolled, they will receive the admission letter from the institution before September 1, otherwise they must contact the institution directly.
