(ANSA) - TEHRAN, OCTOBER 16 - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale shook the Iranian city of Yazdansha, in the province of Kerman, at 3.16 pm local time, said the head of the Red Crescent Society of the Southeast Province Reza Fallah, quoted by Irna.
The quake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, also affected the nearby cities of Zarand and Kianshahr.
"Some old buildings were partially damaged by the earthquake and people rushed to the street in panic. Evaluation teams and doctors were sent to the site to find out the amount of damage and possible casualties."
