EC Peiting only had to do without its popular striker for a year.

Now he's back.

The ice hockey league team is still looking.

Peiting

- When putting together the new squad, the EC Peiting is focusing primarily on returnees this year. After Marco Habermann, who spent more than ten years abroad before finding his way back to his home club, another striker will now wear the ECP jersey again. Florian Stauder's one-year trip to EV Füssen is over. The 29-year-old attacker will storm for the Peitinger again in the coming season. “I am very happy to be back at home, back at the ECP. This is where I belong, ”says the native of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, who worked for Peiting for eleven years before moving to the Allgäu.

With 440 league games meanwhile, Stauder is one of the experienced players in the Peitinger team.

"That's why we're very happy that he is playing for us again," said ECP team manager Gordon Borberg on the return of the attacker, who enjoys cult status among domestic fans.

"Florian is always good for 20 to 25 goals, so he will certainly help us when he comes back as you know him," Borberg hopes that "breathless" - the song by Helene Fischer is played when Stauder hits - often again and sounds regularly from the stadium boxes.

The “rookie of the year” will probably go

In addition, the team manager was most recently in intensive discussions with Daniel Reichert and Yasin Ehliz.

“The decision has not yet been made for either,” reports Borberg.

In the case of Martin Hlozek, however, there are indications that the “rookie of the year” will play for a second division team in the future.

“Maybe he'll get a sponsorship license for us,” Borberg doesn't want to rule out further deployments of the talented striker at the ECP.

Regardless of this, the Peitinger will continue to rely on young players in the coming season.

Maximilian Söll, Dennis Krutsch, Sinan Ondörtoglu, Markus Czogallik and Stefan Saal will continue to play for the top division.

In addition, Ty Morris and Thomas Heger still have a valid contract.

"We are already very far with the squad composition," said Borberg, who relies on a good mix of young and experienced players as well as a balanced goal danger of the storm rows. The Peitinger are still looking for a German defender to fill the gap left by leaving Martin Mazanec.
