Hallbergmoos

- The end of the season in Bavarian amateur football is imminent - and VfB Hallbergmoos is close to being promoted to the Bavarian League. There you will tackle the adventure with only slightly changed staff. With Thomas Edlböck and Maximilian Zeisl, two more players have now extended for another season. Now that the current team of trainer Gediminas Sugzda remains almost completely together, the squad only needs to be strengthened selectively for the probable premiere in the Bayernliga.

Thomas Edlböck (30) played for TSV Eching from 2009 to 2012, before he made his way to the regional league with TSV Buchbach and - after an interlude at FC Erding - with BCF Wolfratshausen in the Bayernliga.

In 2016 Edlböck then came to VfB Hallbergmoos to make his next attempt in the direction of the Bayern League with his new club.

He has played 92 national league games in the Hallberger dress and scored three goals.

Edlböck is a particularly important player in many ways

The sporting director of VfB, Anselm Küchle, knows very well that Edlböck is a particularly important man in many ways: He can hold almost any position in the defensive area and can also change positions during the game.

As a rule, Edlböck and Andreas Kostorz are probably the best double six in the Landesliga Südost.

However, the 30-year-old is also something like the team's training world champion and is a role model within the team: During the past Corona months, no other player has done as much as Edlböck.

Not least with his experience from 28 regional and 22 Bayernliga games, Edlböck could help his club when VfB starts in the Bayernliga for the first time in its club history.

Zeisl sniffed Bayernliga air at FC Ismaning

The 22-year-old Maximilian Zeisl grew up at FC Ismaning and made eight appearances in the Bayern League with his home club in 2017/18.

He had previously played for Ismaning in the U19 Bayern League and U17 Regional League.

He has been wearing the VfB Hallbergmoos jersey since the 2018/19 season and has already made 42 national league games in the statistics.

The defender has worked more and more times and can be involved in the three-man chain as well as on the outside lane.

Maximilian Zeisl has not yet reached his potential limit - so the contract extension is a sign of the future.
