The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, discussed with the acting representative of the World Health Organization, Iman Al-Shanqiti, ways to enhance the prospects for health cooperation between the two sides.
The Minister of Education stressed the importance of supporting the School Health Directorate with mobile clinics to secure health services in remote areas, noting the cooperation between the Ministry, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in terms of preventing the spread of the Corona virus.
Al-Shanqiti, in turn, drew attention to the importance of focusing on strengthening cooperation in the field of school health to prevent infection with the Corona virus, protect students and students, and support the vaccination of educational staff with the vaccine before the start of the school year.
For her part, the Director of School Health, Dr. Hatoun Al-Tawashi, indicated that the cooperation with the World Health Organization included aspects related to epidemiological surveillance of the spread of the Corona virus through the adoption of the rapid test to detect infections in schools and the launch of a mental health campaign last April to train cadres of school health and psychological counseling to reduce exam anxiety among students .
