The Charlie Chaplin Al-Sham Troupe, led by theatrical artist Nizar Al-Badin, presented a series of plays of an educational and entertaining nature as part of the cultural events held by the Ministry of Culture on the sidelines of the Flower Show in Damascus.
Al-Badin said in a statement to SANA reporter that the themes of the shows are based on the comedy scene, which sheds light on negative and positive behaviors and educational issues related to the child's life and his relationship with parents and school.
He pointed out that the performances also depend on the dance performance song, whose themes are complemented by theatrical premise, because one of the group's most important goals is to develop awareness and imagination of the Arab child and improve his aesthetic sense.
Al-Badin believes that the show is the closest to the mind and heart of the child, because of its movement to the rhythm of songs, in addition to the comic movements during scenes and dances, so he relies in his paintings on this type.
It is noteworthy that Nizar Al-Badeen began his artistic life in the university theater in 1979, then moved to work in the Children's Theater in 1989, where the band performed in all theaters and halls in Syria, and was famous for the Information Garden program, which was shown on Syrian TV and participated in many festivals in Arab countries.
