Senior officials arrested on suspicion of perjury, bribery and money laundering and tax offenses

Police arrested eight people this morning (Tuesday) and detained eight more for questioning, including officials in the Eilat municipality, on suspicion of public corruption offenses.
The suspects were arrested on suspicion of bribery, fraud and breach of trust, receiving anything fraudulently under aggravated circumstances, as well as money laundering and tax offenses.
According to the suspicion, the suspects acted to promote tenders under the responsibility of the municipality in exchange for money and benefits, while harming public institutions.
This is an undercover investigation that has been conducted in recent months at Blade 433 on suspicion of offenses of chastity in the relationship between employees and business owners in the city.
