Toyota stumbles into the electric age: due to safety deficiencies in the battery model bZ4X, the manufacturer has to take drastic measures.
Toyota entered battery-powered electromobility later than other manufacturers.
But the market launch of the brand's first electric car is accompanied by problems.
Because the Toyota bZ4X apparently suffers from a safety-related quality problem, as reported by 24auto.de.
Because wheel hub screws can loosen, Toyota had to recall 2,700 vehicles, 2,200 of them in Europe (however, vehicles from German buyers have not yet been delivered).
Toyota is providing a rental car for free, or buyers can charge for free after receiving the Stromer until the end of 2024.
If they actually still drive their car: Because the manufacturer now also offers previous buyers to take back the bZ4X.
