Montreux - The hosting of four scheduled games of the European Championship in Munich was on the brink in view of the number of infections in the Bavarian capital.
In addition, the number of spectators required by the European Football Union * (UEFA) ensures the organizers.
The UEFA decision-making body met on Monday morning and presented its final solution for the tournament, which will start on June 11th.

The Executive Committee announced that it would determine the final number of hosts for the EM, which will be distributed in several European countries, on Monday.
The city of Munich was considered a borderline case before the meeting, but the Corona * situation with high numbers of infections and the long lockdown in Germany are not the best conditions for a host city of an international tournament.
The planned four games in the Allianz Arena * also include the three German group games.
The first game against reigning world champions France would take place on June 15, and four days later the DFB-Elf will compete against European champions Portugal.
The preliminary round match against Hungary on June 23rd and a quarter-finals on July 2nd will also be held in the Fröttmaninger football temple.

The audience question could be decisive here, because the city has to guarantee that a certain percentage of the stadium is occupied by the audience.
The FC Bayern Munich stadium * has around 75,000 seats, and around 20 percent of the spectators are expected to attend the European Championship games.
Should this be rejected, Munich runs the risk of being struck off the host list.
The two hosts Bilbao and Dublin are also shaky candidates in view of the lack of a spectator guarantee for UEFA.
Nine other hosts have already given the green light with regard to the number of spectators and have thus already been confirmed.
Vice-President Rainer Koch will stand up for the interests of the German Football Association * on the Executive Committee, so the head of the Bavarian Football Association will be the decisive man on Monday morning.
