Emirates, the national airline of Dubai and which is considered one of the best airlines in the world, on Monday officially launched its Premium Economy class on the largest Airbus A380 aircraft in the world.

It now offers passengers a larger space, along with a luxurious dining experience.

The Khaleej Times website reports that the company launched the service, which many expected, on flights to selected destinations in the world - for now only three - Paris, London and Sydney.

Currently, Israel is not yet included in the list.

A seat offers footrests and a headrest with adjustment to six different positions.

The total length for each passenger in the new seats is about 102 cm, while the width of each seat is about 49 cm.

The seat can be reclined about 20 cm, which makes it relatively comfortable for sleeping. For the information

The new department also offers charging points in each seat, a wide food tray and an additional side table for cocktails that will be served in flight. For passengers In the premium economy class, they will be offered their own menu, from which they can choose from among the dishes. The meals themselves will be served with porcelain dishes and stainless steel cutlery.

At any time during the flight, passengers will be able to request and receive a selection of soft drinks and natural juices.

The launch of the premium economy seats, which was initially conducted without massive publicity, received a huge positive response from customers.

Senior officials in the travel industry explain that the service, which is relatively new in this region, is expected to be largely successful since it actually bridges the gap between the tourist class and the business class.

Avinash Adnani, CEO of the travel company Pluto Travels, says that the Emirates Premium Economy class has received a very positive response, since travelers who aspire to fly in business class but cannot afford it, can now choose this new product, at a reasonable price. "The experience is very different From tourist class," he says. "Actually, people asked for a similar product that offers a service close to business class, at a lower price.

This is an advantage especially on long flights, mainly due to the large space for the legs."

Adaptation of 105 aircraft in 18 months

According to him, a flight ticket in the tourist class costs around 3,500-3,000 dirhams (3,150-2,700 NIS), while a ticket in the business class costs 15,000-12,000 dirhams (13,500-10,800 NIS).

"Therefore, many express joy about this new department. We all know that Emirates always presents world-class products."

And another advantage: the premium economy seats are located at the front of the plane, which gives passengers high priority when getting off the plane after landing.

It was also reported that along with all this, the entertainment systems were upgraded, and now they offer thousands of movies, TV series and more.

You can use headphones that you bring from home, thanks to the Bluetooth that is embedded in these systems, as well as enjoy a faster Wi-Fi network.

At the Dubai Air Show, held in November 2021, Emirates announced the retrofitting of 105 wide-body aircraft to its Premium Economy class.

The entire move will last 18 months, and it includes 52 Airbus A380 aircraft and 53 Boeing 777 aircraft.
