- In your book, you severely attack “third wave feminism” and gender theory, which you accuse of wanting to create a war between the sexes and of being an ideology cut off from reality.
You're not going to make friends on the left… What made you write it?

It's true, I confess a form of annoyance at the development of what I call third wave, antagonistic, resentful feminism.
Like a man of my generation no doubt.
In my generation and my environment, an absolute feminism reigned.
What strikes me is the irruption in France of an antagonistic feminism which resembles that of the Anglo-American world, a feminism of conflict (American) or of separation (English).
Our country was distinguished and admired by the world for its model of camaraderie between the sexes.
But basically, I'm not attacking, I'm trying to understand what's going on, as a researcher, an anthropologist, a historian.
