Louie Anderson: stand-up comedian, actor and presenter

Stand-up comedian, actor and presenter Louie Anderson is dead. His spokesman confirmed this to several media outlets, including CNN and Deadline.
The American was 68 years old.
Earlier this week, Anderson was hospitalized in Las Vegas.
He was suffering from cancer.
He made his show business debut on The Tonight Show in 1984.
He is best known for playing Maurice in the 1988 comedy The Prince of Zamunda.
In 2016 he won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for »Baskets«.
Anderson played the role of "Christine," the matriarch of the Baskets clan.
He modeled himself on his mother and five sisters, according to CNN.
According to Anderson, women played an important role in his life.
He also hosted the TV show »Family Feud« from 1999 to 2002, appeared in numerous stand-up programs and has authored several books.
