  • This is how vaccination against covid evolves in Spain and in the world

Many are uncomfortable talking about successes. Recognizing it, especially if it is foreign, demotivates them. But the vaccination campaign deserves recognition. The general impression around the health crisis is marked by the improvisation and chaos of the first weeks. The crime that happened in nursing homes, however, has been hidden because with older people it happens that a huge part of society considers them already written off, in a trait of brutal cruelty of our era. Compliance with the protection measures has been fully followed by the majority of citizens, although it may not seem so. It happens a bit with the worst of national politics, which acquires such a striking speaker in the media, in need of drama, that it extinguishes any echo of intelligence and balance, as if it did not exist. When the national observation on these phenomena ends, perhaps the media could also look back at how they contribute to the most undesirable. It does not hurt to reflect in all areas on the power that we grant to certain attitudes just for the fact of giving them a presence that they do not deserve. The greatest danger of the media is inertia, letting go that eliminates from the order of priorities what one believes in, what one trusts, in which one finds solidity and decency. Each person in charge of a space, and the media are nothing more than that, could ask themselves from time to time who they lend their platform to so as not to be a necessary accomplice of the worst evils that threaten our country.perhaps the media could also look back on how they contribute to the most undesirable. In this mistaken feeling that citizens have not lived up to the restrictions, there is a basic error. To begin with, these restrictions have not been both political and sanitary, even though there have been authorities and even some judge determined to play and win. But even more important would be to pay attention to what has happened in schools during this 2020-2021 academic year. The behavior of teachers and students has been exemplary, almost unanimously worthy of praise. The operation, in many moments agonizing and full of obstacles, has been carried out with enough dignity. Many students are now in the final stretch, some of them even with the university entrance exam or the completion of their higher studies. All of them unique moments in a biography and that, nevertheless, they will be executed with discretion, distance and enormous restraint. We should think a little more about everything that has gone well despite the permanent state of uncertainty in which we have lived.

It is a pity that we have had to listen to so many nonsense spoken by people of media relevance. It would have been better to hear that strenuous and silent rumor of those who have complied, of those who have drawn frustrations much greater than those exhibited by the exhibitionists on duty who live in a world called personal vanity. The educational circle has faced with dignity and patience half of the past course and the entire course of this year. Now that mass vaccination is an unprecedented success in history, waiting for it to spread to the non-rich world, let us acknowledge that the
