The Eurovision Song Contest is over - Ukraine wins with 631 points.

But there are alleged manipulation allegations for the second semi-final.

On the night of Sunday, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) reported with a statement.

Turin – For months, fans have been looking forward to the Eurovision Song Contest (all ESC news on the topic page) – now it's over again.

Ukraine wins the ESC with 631 points - Germany ended up in last place with six points.

But there is a scandal: at the time of the second semi-final there was said to have been an allegation of manipulation.

A manipulation scandal at the Eurovision Song Contest - how is that possible?

Irregularities in the jury vote were found in six ESC countries, the European broadcasting union EBU said on Sunday night (May 15).

"After the second dress rehearsal of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, certain irregular voting patterns were found in the results of six countries," says the official statement on esc-kompakt.de.

But what happens next - are the consequences drawn?

"The EBU takes any suspected attempt to rig voting at the Eurovision Song Contest extremely seriously and has the right to remove such votes in accordance with official voting instructions, regardless of whether such votes could affect the results and/or outcome of the vote ", was the further statement.

In the live show, the corresponding jury points were partly announced by ESC supervisor Martin Österdahl - the detailed results of the countries were also missing on eurovision.tv.

The following juries were therefore excluded from the ESC 2022 voting: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania and San Marino.

A German jury member was also excluded from the ESC jury: Felicia Lu.

The reason for this was early reviews of the studio versions of the ESC contributions.
