BRUSSELS - By sending two reasoned opinions,
the European Commission takes the next step in the infringement procedures against Hungary on respect for the fundamental rights of non-discrimination of LGBTI people and freedom of expression
, opened in July.
After careful analysis of the Budapest responses, Brussels believes that the concerns expressed have not been addressed.
Hungary now has two months to respond and remedy the situation.
Otherwise, the case can be referred to the EU Court of Justice.
