This is not his finest technical gesture but he is already talking a lot even before the entry into contention of Portugal in the competition, this Tuesday (6 p.m.) against Hungary, in the same group as the France team.
This Monday, in a pre-match press conference, Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time Golden Ball, allowed himself to firmly dismiss the two bottles of Coca-Cola placed in front of him as official sponsor.
He grabbed it with his right hand.
From the left he pushed them aside, retrieving the bottle of mineral water to show it by throwing a clear "agua!"
»(Water!) Unequivocal about his preference.

If the track of a commercial link between Ronaldo and Pepsi, competitor of Coca, could be evoked, it is not so.
It is the very nature of this type of soda and their harmful role for health that is at the origin of the gesture of the Juventus Turin striker.
Last December, on the sidelines of the Globe Soccer Awards where he was crowned best player of the century, he had thus launched about his son, a young footballer of ten years: "I am sometimes hard with him because he drinks Coke. -Cola and Fanta and I'm pissed off at him.
I fight with him when he eats chips or fries.
He knows I don't like it.
Even my youngest children, when they eat chocolate, look at me fearfully.
We must be strong.
I tell him every time: it takes a lot of dedication, work.
Sometimes when he is at home, I advise him to go on the treadmill and then take a cold water bath to recover.
"
It remains to be seen how the American brand and UEFA will welcome this gesture of humor but a sign of a form of commitment that should not be neglected.
