Euro swimming: the Dutch win gold in the 4x200m relay, France finishes sixth

The Dutch swimmers were crowned European champions in the 4x200m on Thursday evening in Rome. The French women finished sixth in the final.

The Dutch swimmers became European champions in the 4x200m freestyle relay on Thursday in Rome.

Imani De Jong, Silke Holkenborg, Janna Van Kooten and Marrit Steenbergen won gold in 7 min 54 sec 07, ahead of the British, reigning European champions.

The Hungarians complete the podium.

The French, led by Océane Carnez, Giulia Rossi Bene, Marina Jehl and Lucile Tessariol finished sixth (8:01.82).
