The France under-19 team was released in the semi-finals of the Euro on Tuesday evening after a defeat (1-2) against the Israelis.

No European title for this generation of Bleuets.

The France under-19 team lost Tuesday night in the semi-finals of the Euro against Israel (2-1).

Authors of a faultless group stage in three victories in as many games in this competition organized in Slovakia, the young players of Landry Chauvin did not manage to bring out an Israeli selection which seemed largely within their reach.

Dominating, the Blueberries were surprised in the first period by the opener of Souleymane Isaak Touré against his side (29th).

And despite superior technical mastery and pressure put on immediately after the break, it was the Israelis who doubled the lead with a goal from a corner kick by Kancepolsky (59th).

The Habs, stunned, however reacted in stride with a goal from Sochaux Alan Virginius (62nd).

But despite this quick response and six minutes of added time, France never managed to catch up to snatch extra time.

These Bleuets will not imitate their 2016 counterparts, led by former PSG striker Jean-Kévin Augustin, or the Griezmann-Lacazette generation of 2010 crowned at home.

But with their place in the last four, the French qualify for the U20 World Cup, organized in Indonesia next year.

The European crown will be disputed Friday between Israel and England, winner earlier in the day of Italy (2-1).
