European basketball is awaiting the fateful meeting to be held on Monday, with the 11 heads of the Euroleague senior teams and Secretary-General Jordi Barthomeo voting to renew or announce the end of the 19/20 season.

Yesterday they encountered a first hurdle and not simply when all the team players (two from each club) who participated last night in the conference call with Barthomeo voted anonymously against the return to the grounds. And today, the Sportando website reports that Euroleague have received a surprising response from the players for the idea of resuming the season.

In addition, it seems that even among the teams there is currently no majority in the decision to renew the season. Out of 11 teams in favor - Maccabi Tel Aviv, Anadolu Zero, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Five against - Milan, CSCA, Penerbachce, Panathinaikos and Olympiakos. And two groups that are currently debating and deciding to fall on it - Jelgiris and Asconia.

In the event of an equality of votes due to the abstention of one of the groups in the vote, whoever decides will be Secretary General Jordi Barthomeo.

General Manager Khimki: "What happens if a player or coach gets infected?"

HIMKI Moscow will not be among the groups voting tomorrow in deciding whether to stop or continue the league because it does not count on 11 A-licensed teams - the founders of the plant. Despite this, the club has a clear opinion against the season renewal. Russia is well known among the countries that suffer the most from the Corona virus.

Pavel Estchov, the team's general manager, said in an interview with Izbastier newspaper: "Gathering 18 teams in one place and playing 6 regular season cycles and another Final 8 is something that's hard to believe that can happen. All this when the players are in isolation and can't get in shape. A player or coach will find positive in the review? Stop everything and send us all home? I think it makes sense not to renew the plant and start preparing for next season. "
