European shares fell today, with energy and mining stocks falling due to lower commodity prices amid fears of slowing economic growth.
And Reuters news agency reported that the European Stoxx 600 index fell 1.1 percent, with oil and gas stocks falling 1.8 percent and crude oil prices falling about two percent.
Mining shares also fell 2.2 percent, with losses in copper and other metals continuing on growing fears about a recession.
Asian stocks had a tough session and Wall Street closed lower last night after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the board was deeply committed to lowering inflation.
