Two years after Tel Aviv hosted one of the best Eurovision shows of recent years, the world's popular singing competition is finally coming to the Netherlands.

Eurovision 2021 will be held after a year of absence due to the Corona virus, which is still continuing to hit Europe which is in the midst of the third wave.

Rotterdam, the host city, will not get the sights we saw in Tel Aviv with dozens of parties, hundreds of events, thousands of tourists, and tens of thousands of Israelis who visited the Eurovision Village and did excellent public relations for Israel.

What will happen?

Here's everything you need to know about Eurovision 2021.

Where will the competition be held?

No less than nine cities competed to host the competition last year.

Amsterdam in particular withdrew early from the competition due to an excess of events that took place in the city, which did not want more tourists than those already in it.

Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands, was honored, but then the Corona virus arrived and it is no longer possible to complain about a shortage of tourism.

With the decision to hold the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest no matter what - the right to host was given back to Rotterdam.

When will the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest take place?

The first semi-final will take place on Tuesday 18 May and the second semi-final on Thursday 20 May.

The ten countries with the highest scores in each semi-final will advance to the Eurovision final on Saturday 22 May.

The twenty qualifying countries will join the top five countries that receive an automatic ticket to the final - Italy, Britain, Germany, Spain, and France.

The one who will complete the final picture is of course the host country, the Netherlands.

All transmitters will be broadcast here 11 starting at 22:00.

The semi-final broadcasts are expected to end at midnight and a quarter, while the final will last until at least 1:45.

Which countries are participating in each of the semi-finals?

Lithuania, Slovenia, Russia, Sweden, Australia, Northern Macedonia, Ireland, Cyprus, Norway, Croatia, Belgium, Israel, Romania, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Malta will participate in the first semi-finals.

Participants in the second semi-final: San Marino, Estonia, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Serbia, Georgia, Albania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Finland, Latvia, Switzerland, and Denmark.

How do you vote and is it possible to vote for Israel?

All Eurovision 2021 broadcasts will be broadcast live, but viewers in Israel can only vote in the first semi-final and Eurovision final.

Of course it is not possible to vote for the country you are in, but if you are an Israeli living in the country participating in the first semifinal you can vote for Israel.

The voting instructions will appear on the screen during the live broadcast.

Residents of all participating countries will be able to vote on Saturday, even if their country has not advanced to the finals.

In the first semi-final you can also vote from Italy, Germany and the Netherlands, so if you have friends there - it's time to ask them for a little favor.

Will Eurovision 2121 be held with an audience?

Got tickets?

If you thought it was difficult to get tickets for the Eurovision final in Tel Aviv, tickets for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam are almost impossible to get.

The Ahoy hall where the competition takes place can accommodate more than 17,000 spectators, but due to Corona restrictions only 3,500 amateurs and amateurs will be allowed to enter the hall.

The sale will only open on Saturday, May 8, ten days before the first semi-final, and will only be attended by those who had a Eurovision ticket last year.

If you did not have a ticket last year, you will not be able to attend the sale.

Apparently, even if you had a ticket but do not have a passport of one of the EU countries or a Schengen visa, ie only an Israeli passport, you will not be able to enter the Netherlands.

Ticket prices, by the way, are cheaper than Tel Aviv and the most expensive for the 2021 Eurovision final are sold for 249.75 euros, about 980 shekels.

Conquer the Europeans again, this time in a small way.

Who will be the commentators on the Eurovision live broadcast?

The live broadcasts of Eurovision 2021 here 11 will be accompanied by the voice of the corporation's presenters Geula Even-Saar, Assaf Lieberman and Akiva Novik.

The three will announce, give viewers information and interpret the broadcasters.

Those who want to watch a talk-free broadcast can do so through the Eurovision YouTube channel.

Who will submit the Israeli score?

The person who will submit the score in the Eurovision final for Israel will be Lucy Job.

Lucy was on the team of Eurovision moderators in Tel Aviv and won compliments from the floor, and already in the year before she submitted the score at the Eurovision victory of Neta Barzilai.

Lucy also submitted the two broadcasters of Israel's song selection for this year's Eurovision and the one canceled last year.

How are you preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest to deal with the Corona virus?

The production of Eurovision 2021 does everything in its power to reduce the chances of infection with the Corona virus.

Each delegation was forced to reduce the number of participants by about a third compared to previous years, so that, for example, the creators of Israeli song would not be able to travel to the Netherlands.

The number of journalists has also been significantly reduced, from 1,550 in previous years to 500 this year.

Most events have been canceled, there will be no Eurovision Village and no parties.

Participating artists are not allowed to walk in the city, and journalists who come to the press center will have to be checked once every 48 hours.

This year the press center will not have an area for amateurs, also to reduce the amount of people coming to Rotterdam.
