In six years of mandate, it was the 44th and last motion submitted to the elected officials of the departmental council of Essonne.
It was adopted unanimously at the last meeting, this Monday, and aims to "oppose the project to create an inert waste storage facility (ISDI) in the town of Saint-Hilaire".
The departmental advisers ask the State to "refuse the authorization by any project leader whatsoever aiming to deposit on the site of the localities Ardenne - La Saboterie waste of any kind whatsoever".

"This motion follows the strong mobilization Sunday, May 3 in the south of Essonne," recalls Anne Launey, elected (EELV) of the canton of Palaiseau and member of the opposition group Rassemblement de la gauche et des ecologists (RGE).
This project concerns a 34 hectare site on which it is planned to store 1.4 million cubic meters of inert earth.

"Everyone has put their sensibilities, but we have arrived at a common document that reflects our shared concerns," says the elected.
On Sunday, during the mobilization, the more than 300 demonstrators spoke of the earth embankments emanating from the work carried out in the context of construction sites in Greater Paris.
"At this stage, the Société du Grand Paris has not been informed of this project carried by the Bouygues company," said François Durovray, president (LR) of the departmental council of Essonne.

The motion also asks the State to "do everything in its power to put in place a recycling and treatment system for earth excavated during major urban and infrastructure projects".
