More than an exhibition, the Center Pompidou* offers a journey into Gérard Garouste's subconscious.
The Parisian institution has brought together some 120 creations by the artist, both ambitious and intimate, over the course of a journey giving a good overview of his talent.
The iconographic richness immediately charms, like the superb figurative illustrations of
The Old Testament
or
The Divine Comedy
.
The designer once again brilliantly reveals his singular interpretation of other great literary classics, such as
Gargantua
and
Pinocchio
.
The diversity of themes and media seduces by willingly “jostling” the visitor.
The only slight frustration: the absence of general information on the creative process of certain productions.
A lack that in no way spoils the great outfit of this set hailed by the painter himself.
“The curator of the exhibition, Sophie Duplaix, did an excellent job,

.
Myself, I could not have created an exhibition that came so close to what I wanted to express.
Don't miss this retrospective where a dreamlike and abundant pictorial language flourishes.
