(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 30 - A queue of at least 10 kilometers formed during the night on state road 69 of Val d'Arno a few hours after the announced reopening of the Firenzesud-Incisa motorway section which has long been involved in works for the construction of the third lane. Many inconveniences, especially for those trying to reach the Florence airport to leave for the summer holidays, remained bottled for hours between the junctions of the compulsory exits and on the state road.
The works, in progress for some time, are practically finished and the opening of the section in both directions was scheduled for 6 this morning but the advance of departures, also favored by the heat of these days, was overlapped with particularly intense heavy vehicle traffic, in view of the bans announced for the next few days.
At the moment Autostrade reports three kilometers of columns between Valdarno and the Incisa tollbooth towards Florence. The traffic police then reports at least ten kilometers of queue on the state road, where in some places heavy vehicles have completely blocked traffic. (HANDLE).
