Black smoke visible for several kilometers around.
Shortly after 3 p.m. this Saturday, an explosion took place in a transformer at the Enedis center, near the Palais des Congrès in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes).
A deafening noise that quickly worried the population and Internet users who, on social networks, immediately expressed their fear.

If the explosion did little damage apart from the transformer (although debris was thrown all around), nine people were however taken care of by the firefighters and the Samu, specifies Nice-Matin.
Three women were taken to hospital.
The newspaper also specifies that around thirty firefighters were dispatched to the site to come to the end of the fire, the original circumstances of which remain to be determined.
At the scene of the explosion which affected a transformer at the @enedis center located at # Nice06 East.
I thanked the firefighters, police officers and #Enedis #GRDF agents who intervened to extinguish the fire, secure and rescue the injured and shocked.

On Twitter, the mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi explained that no customer was affected by a possible power cut after this explosion.
