Extending the permission to clear goods under copies of original documents

The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee to extend the work of the decision to allow merchants and industrialists to clear goods according to copies of the original documents until 12-31-2021.

The extension of the work comes in accordance with the recommendation that SANA received a copy of in order to facilitate the procedures for the industrialists and to ensure the continuation of industrial and commercial business and the non-stop of the production wheel and the provision of all products in the local markets.

The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade allowed all industrial importers and merchants to clear their goods based on copies of the original documents within specified time limits, with penalties applied to anyone who refuses to present these original documents within the specified period in order to facilitate securing the needs of the local market.
