In statements to the SANA reporter, the director of the bakery branch in Hama, Haitham Ismail, pointed out that the fire caused light damage to the first fermentation room, the cream, the cooler, a number of small motors, electrical panels and the fire house. Bread production takes 3 days.
Lieutenant-Colonel Hossam Abbas, an officer in Salhab, indicated that as soon as the fire was reported by the police patrols near the bakery, the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Forest was directed to send firefighting vehicles that put out the fire, explaining that the necessary control was organized and the damage caused by the fire is currently being counted and the progress of the fire is monitored. Zuhair Twaim, head of the shift at Salhab bakery, stated that the fire damaged the chip, the slicer, and the loaf cooling route, as well as destroying more than 5 dough meals and damaging the walls, while Muhammad Amon, head of Salhab City Council, explained that as a result of the bakery being out of service, efforts are being made to secure bread for the people from Neighboring bakeries and bakeries in coordination with the Syrian branch of bakeries and the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.
