Good coffee is the one everyone drinks every morning.
And, whatever the brand, the French prefer it more and more fair, and organic moreover.
In the 2019 annual report that it has just made public, Max Havelaar - a world benchmark fair trade label - announces a turnover of 902 million euros in France, all products combined.
This represents an increase of 22% compared to 2018. Coffee, bananas, cocoa, sugar, as well as flowers and cotton constitute the main labeled products.

The driving force behind this type of trade, the coffee market, which guarantees a sustainable purchase price for poor producers in the South, remains, in terms of value, the first imported foodstuff labeled Fairtrade by Max Havelaar.
