Dealers, rental companies, second-hand sales platforms and after-sales workshops are scrutinizing the forecasts for new vehicle sales in the coming years with concern.
And what they discover does not reassure them.
In 2022, global sales are expected to fall further compared to last year, to fall to 79 million vehicles, according to the firm AlixPartners.
We will be very far from the 94 million reached in 2018. In Europe, sales should be limited to 15.9 million (16.7 million in 2021).
In France, only two million should flow this year, as much as in 2020, the black year of the Covid.
2022 will therefore be anything but a year of rebound for the automotive industry.
