The supporters from a total of 20 football clubs have joined forces to form a nationwide umbrella organization.
Hanover is the seat of the association.
According to SPIEGEL information, board members are the »Fanhilfe Hannover«, the »Black-Yellow Help« from Dresden, the »Blue-White-Red Help« from Rostock, the »Fanhilfe Förderkreis Ostkurve« from Berlin and the »Fanhilfe Magdeburg«.
Fan aid is available at many locations and is financed through membership fees.
It goes without saying that they want to give football fans legal and financial support in the event of a conflict with the security authorities.
Before the pandemic and the associated exclusion of viewers, fans and police officers regularly clashed on match days, and reports were often issued afterwards.
»Football fans have always been under constant surveillance by the security authorities.
This of course intensified on the match day, but now also regularly apart from it «, it says in a statement of the newly founded» Dachverband der Fanhilfe eV «, which also wants to deal with the» File Violent Offenders Sport «, stadium bans for fans as well as the labeling requirement for civil servants.
They want to be a "strong voice" for football fans who are "permanently criminalized by the security authorities, the media or politics," it continues.
According to its own information, the umbrella association represents around ten thousand active fans and sees itself as a representative of the interests of all football fans in Germany.
