The house blessing hangs crooked at the FDP: The district association fought an open power struggle at its general meeting.
In the end, the lot had to decide who would be at the top in the future - a curious process.
The luck on his side had ex-SCR boss Udo Weisenburger from Grainau, who announced a "new start".

- The countdown is on: Only about three months until the next federal election.
The election campaign has long since started - also here in the district.
But the FDP is still primarily concerned with itself.
Contents were not in the foreground at the general meeting of the district association, which took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Werdenfelser Hof.
Instead, internal differences and a tug-of-war over leadership dominated the mammoth meeting, which lasted almost five hours and was attended by 21 voters.
Interruption for non-public "debate"
The meeting was even interrupted for a non-public "debate" following a motion from Martin Sielmann - the Bundestag candidate is the face of the liberals in Werdenfelser Land.
According to reports, the tatters flew behind closed doors in the rustic Schäfflersaal of the traditional restaurant.
One can only speculate about the exact background.
Several participants reported internal conflicts and personal animosities.
For example, Sielmann and the previous secretary Stephan Strzondala clashed several times.
“Do your theater somewhere else,” he hissed at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen town council.
But it was also about a tangible dispute about direction - and about a clear criticism of the previous leadership.
Because Sielmann fired some tips in the direction of Maria Ackermann, who took over the chief position last year after André Göllrich resigned for private reasons.
But Sielmann apparently did not agree with the work of the 69-year-old pensioner: “The chairmanship in particular has to set political accents.
I missed that, ”he criticized in an interview with the Tagblatt.
In his opinion, the district FDP must position itself much more strongly on state and federal political issues.
"All of this can not only be done by me," says the controversial local politician.
Weisenburger new district chief
So Ackermann, who ran again, found herself in a fight vote. Your challenger: the Grainau entrepreneur Udo Weisenburger, former (controversial) owner of the traditional SC Riessersee. The diplomatic solution of dual leadership was suggested, but was not possible for statutory reasons. What followed was a real electoral thriller: In the first round, Weisenburger did not achieve an absolute majority, in the second it was a draw in the end. And so it had to be drawn according to the statutes. Weisenburger had luck on his side. The 54-year-old managing director of a company that is active in the amusement and water park industry will now head the group for two years.
Weisenburger sums up the fact that the drawing of lots was certainly “unfortunate”.
But: “It's like a penalty shoot-out.
Somebody has to do it. ”He now wants to end the internal disputes and dare to start over.
“I want to look ahead,” is his motto.
At the meeting he appealed to his party friends: "We cannot tear each other apart."
The first issues that the Free Democrats want to tackle are on the table: For example, they want to campaign for the creation of affordable housing, the strengthening of local public transport and the privatization of the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn (BZB), to name just a few examples to call.
Specifics should be worked out by the new, expanded district executive.
Ackermann is also a deputy chairwoman of the committee.
She takes the defeat very calmly: “I see it in a sporty way and look forward to working with Mr. Weisenburger.” However, she cannot understand the Sielmann attack.
"These are untenable allegations," she clarifies.
She did hang in there very well.
In her opinion, organizational matters are the main focus of the job of the district chief.
