Bruno Garcia-Cruciani was sentenced this Wednesday to life imprisonment for the assassination of his ex-girlfriend, Julie Douib, on March 3, 2019 in Ile-Rousse (Haute-Corse).
The 44-year-old receives a 22-year security sentence as well as a ban on possession of a weapon for 15 years.
The decision to deprive him of parental authority over the couple's two sons, now aged 11 and 13, will be studied after this criminal verdict, during a civil hearing.
Just before the start of the trial in Corsica, several associations had worked to recall the facts. In Vaires-sur-Marne for example, splicers of the feminist movement L'Amazone had left their messages to denounce this feminicide, which had taken place despite its six complaints filed.
