WTA President Steve Simon responded to the statement, saying: "This statement by the state network in China only increases my concern about its condition and safety. I do not believe she wrote this email and do not think things there are on her mind. Feng Shui showed tremendous courage when she revealed The sexual assault experienced by a senior Chinese government official.The WTA and the rest of the world need independent and credible proof that Feng Shui is safe.I tried to get it through several media, but to no avail.Feng Shui must speak freely, without coercion and threat from any source. "Her sexual assault must be respected. It must be investigated with the utmost transparency and without censorship. The voice of women must be heard and respected, they must not be censored or dictated what to say."
