He was brought to Germany from Romania by "private animal rights activists".
Since they no longer felt responsible, Carlos ended up in the animal shelter.
Amberg-Sulzbach - "Carlos, a great guy, is looking for a family and a job": With these words, the Amberg animal shelter starts its appeal for dog Carlos.
The Herdschutz-Mongrel originally comes from Romania.
So-called "private animal rights activists" brought him to Germany and then no longer felt responsible for him.
According to the animal shelter, they were no longer available.
Like many of his peers, he ended up in an animal shelter.

Animal shelter Amberg is looking for a new home for herd guard dog: "He needs a permanent reference person"
Unfortunately, the male could not stay with his previous family.
However, he got along well with cats there.
According to the animal rights activists, it is "absolutely not suitable" for children.
He urgently needs dog-experienced people and a quiet home.
"Carlos' paradise would be a house with a large, fenced-in lot, with no neighbors if possible."

What is also very important is that the young guy has a reference person that he can trust.
Herd protection dogs are characterized by a high degree of independence.
Close contact with people is therefore very important.
According to the animal shelter, only this can lead to the dog - if it trusts the human - directing its actions to the human instead of making decisions itself.
