Today, a fire broke out in the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery as a result of an attack by two drones on the refinery facilities located in the Russian Rostov region near the Ukrainian border.
The refinery administration said in a statement today: "As a result of terrorist actions from the western borders of the Rostov region, two drones today struck the technical facilities of the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery, which resulted in an explosion that in turn led to a fire."
A fire broke out in one of the refinery's buildings, covering an area of 50 square meters, and it was dealt with and extinguished.
The Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery is the largest producer of petroleum products in southern Russia.
