The derby in the district league between Denklingen and Raisting attracted around 400 visitors.

They saw a lot of idle time, but then also two goals within a few minutes.

Denklingen/Raisting - The old order between Denklingen and Raisting - it no longer applies.

In the past two seasons, the host club has won the district league derby.

In the duel on Wednesday evening – held at the impressive new VfL sports facility – there was no winner for the first time.

A game that took place in front of a large crowd of around 400 spectators ended 1: 1 (0: 0), but only got going late.

The two trainers agreed in their assessment of what was going on on the field.

Both Markus Ansorge (VfL) and Johannes Franz (SVR) spoke of a performance-related and therefore ultimately deserved result.

However, the shake hands between the two after the final whistle also revealed certain dissonances between the two.

Franz was somewhat angry about Denklinger's statements in the run-up to the game, which he perceived as unjustified criticism of Raistinger's style of play.

Apparently, according to Franz, the sting of the 0:2 away defeat in April is "still deep".

And he emphasized: "They don't play one bit better than we do."

Simon Ried puts Denklingen in the lead

Nevertheless, it should be noted that both coaches praised their opponents for Wednesday's duel.

Ansorge emphasized the "defensive class" of Raistinger.

Franz pointed to the Denklinger "quality in front": "They have a top scorer that we don't have." Of course, this meant Simon Ried, who, when Hannes Rambach had pulled off the rotation, was spot on again and scored 1 :0 dusted off (69th).

The hit came just in a phase in which the Denklinger had shown at least a few good offensive actions.

A header from Dominik Karg (57') and a shot from Rambach (61') are worth mentioning.

Before that, the hosts had been lucky: After a diagonal pass from Franz, Gianluca Zandt showed a strong individual action – but his next shot landed on the crossbar (54th).

A few moments later, a penalty whistle follows: This duel between Raisting's Sinan Grgic (right) and Denklingen's Tobias Ried led to a penalty kick in yesterday's derby, which the guests from SVR used to equalize 1-1.

It stayed with this result until the end.

According to Ansorge, the Denklingers thought they were finally on course after the lead, but the lead didn't last very long.

Substitute Raistinger Sinan Grgic started a solo, rounded three Denklingers and finally fell in a duel with Tobias Ried.

The referee awarded a penalty after a short delay.

Far removed from the actual action, Ansorge did not want to speculate whether it was actually an action worthy of a penalty.

"I don't know," he said.

Ultimately, that doesn't matter.

He was much more upset about the story of how it came about: "It shouldn't be allowed to go through like that." Viktor Neveling converted the penalty kick to make it 1-1 (74th).

Viktor Neveling equalizes Raistinger

In the course of the penalty scene, VfL player Tobias Ried saw the yellow-red card after being given a ten-minute penalty and apparently having said something else.

In the first phase of the majority "we completely lost the thread", said Franz.

The first half wasn't really exciting.

Ansorge described the event as "very tactical".

"Nobody wanted to make a mistake." A shot from Denklingen's Rambach (34') and a free-kick from Raisting's Christoph Schmitt, which VfL keeper Manuel Seifert steered over the crossbar in the low-lying sun (45'), were notable actions.

Raisting seemed more committed in the first half, had more possession and free-kicks had various opportunities to get close to the goal.

But that didn't want to succeed.

Ansorge, who doesn't shy away from clear words, spoke of a "very bad district league game".

In view of the large setting, he had wished for something else.

The quality of the team "didn't come out on the pitch".

But he didn't want to talk about the situation too badly either.

After three games, Denklingen has five points and is still undefeated.

For Franz, the point was okay: "Now the first win has to come."
