Successful start: The Fischbachau weekly market was well received by customers.
Organizer Eva Köhler is happy about the response.
Fischbachau
- Around noon the stands were almost empty.
The first Fischbachau weekly market was a huge success - and the continuation is guaranteed.
“It was really busy,” said organizer Eva Köhler happily.
The Green Councilor got the project off the ground with a lot of commitment.
Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., fruit, vegetables, bread, preserves and much more are available in the central parking lot next to the church.
So far, eight vendors have presented their goods.
Lots of positive feedback
“Old and young came, as you would imagine,” says Köhler.
Parents with prams, seniors with shopping scooters.
What the organization team is particularly pleased about: "Many people approached us and said that the market was really a great idea," reports Köhler.
Persistently recruiting stand operators
In December, the local councilor had applied for the introduction of the weekly market together with her parliamentary group colleague Korbinian Wolf. The market is supposed to be a replacement for the village shop that is about to close. The idea was well received by the local council, and Mayor Johannes Lohwasser supported the establishment of the market. On the other hand, it turned out to be difficult to find enough dealers. The organizer managed it by addressing dealers directly at other weekly markets and making targeted phone calls. Shops from the region can jointly offer goods at one stand.
